Naresh, Natalie, and Cecilia have all been affected by COVID and here is why…
Naresh Gill joined the business in November 2017 as a paralegal, supporting and working alongside Corporate Solicitor and Director Jas Singh, before being offered a training contract which commenced January 2018.
Naresh has spent time and gained experience in all our departments, which are, corporate, commercial property and residential conveyancing. Naresh began his training contract under the previous law society guidelines which meant he needed to gain experience in either litigation, family, or criminal law.
Our expert litigation friends at Bell Lax Solicitors, kindly offered Naresh the opportunity to spend some time with them, but this was delayed due to COVID and everyone needing to work from home, so instead of Naresh qualifying in August 2020, he will now qualify as a solicitor into our commercial property department on 1st January 2021.
Naresh is currently at Bell Lax assisting in their litigation department.
Natalie Fitzhugh joined the business in May 2019 as a trainee solicitor, having previous litigation experience she joined Jas Singh in the corporate department.
Natalie was due to qualify as a solicitor as of 1st November 2020, but this has been delayed due to COVID and Natalie being placed on Furlough.
Natalie returned to work in September assisting in our residential conveyancing department. Our residential conveyancing team is busy and continuing to grow so the plan is for Natalie to qualify into residential conveyancing on 1st April 2021.
Cecilia joined the business in September 2018 as a paralegal, supporting and working alongside Jas Singh in the corporate department. Cecilia began her training contract as of 1st January 2020, under the law society guidelines Cecilia does not need to gain any litigation experience.
Cecilia is yet to sit her exams, due to COVID, and being furloughed meant Cecilia’s qualifying date being moved from 1st April 2021 to 1st November 2021 as a corporate solicitor.
Although all three trainees have been affected by COVID, they remain positive, hardworking, and committed and as a business we would be lost without them.
We are excited to see Naresh, Natalie and Cecilia qualifying over the next twelve months into their specialist areas.
