What have we been up to?
The Bounce Back…
We survived and thrived during COVID, so we entered 2022 optimistic and ambitious.
Growth and Expansion…
We welcomed a new head of residential conveyancing, Mohammed Kasujee. Mohammed brings a wealth of managerial experience, which has given us the opportunity to expand an already thriving residential team.
Mohammed saw an opportunity for us to better our service levels, by introducing us to a new case management system, with any new system we were faced with hesitation and teething problems, but the system is now fully integrated into the department which is allowing us to filter through more customers, and still maintain our service levels.
The team are fortunate to work with many local estate agents and mortgage brokers, who entrust them with customer referrals. This has been fantastic, and has allowed us to expand our team.
Mohammed, Natalie, Rachel and Lynn were joined by new build specialist Harjinder Kaur, qualified solicitor, Daljit Sunar and a conveyancing executive Cadhla Corrigan.
Our Corporate and Commercial Property teams have gone from strength to strength, widening their health care specialism into the pharmacy sector. Both departments remain the core of our business.
Jas and Diana were joined by a corporate paralegal Lauren and trainee solicitor Miriam. Jas and the team welcome another trainee solicitor later this year.
The commercial property team has become a standalone department, with Barry, Nisha, Naresh and Arti’s experience, they are able to support corporate customers, and standalone property work.
Cue the applause…
We saw our colleague Diana qualify as a solicitor, into the corporate team and Cadhla begin her training contract.
We don’t do things by halves… EVER
Not only did we invest and grow our fabulous team, we moved into a larger office in May, to accommodate this growth.
The move has been impactful not only for our team, but our customers and referrers too.
Top Marks…
We understand the importance of achieving quality standards within the business. Best practice and customer service are two of our brand values, so it was a huge milestone for us when we achieved (with a clean sweep AGAIN) the Law Society’s leading accreditation, Lexcel for the fifth year running!
Investment…
Our people are our greatest asset, and we encourage a happy and healthy working environment, this includes allowing our colleagues to work from home when they need to, this was implemented long before working from home became the new normal. Leading on from this, and our well-being strategy we hosted our first teams day since COVID which was facilitated by our external business coach and mentor Donna Whitbrook.
It was important to us to acknowledge the impact of the cost of living crisis, with mortgage rates, rent and utility bills increasing, it was a business necessity to review the teams pay.
There were two reviews during 2022!
The Future…
We are flying into our sixth year, leaving nothing behind. The directors, management team and old and new teams are still as dedicated and motivated as they were in the first year and this is the main reason for our continued success.
For the corporate team to continue at full speed ahead, Jas will continue to develop his trainee solicitors.
Our commercial property goes from strength to strength as Naresh gains more experience.
We are searching for a senior commercial property solicitor, to join our very busy and fasting growing team. Watch this space…
