What a year…
What an incredible second year in business! It only feels like yesterday, since we were writing our first anniversary blog.
Where do we begin… we have doubled in size, launched a new department, hosted events, held team days, and outgrown our home at Mitre Court! #Goals
Growth and Expansion…
Our Corporate and Commercial Department led by Jas Singh, assisted by Nisha Bharadwa and Naresh Gill, knew they needed to add to their ranks, in order to continue with their success…
Throughout the year the team welcomed four ambitious, and hardworking individuals. Helen Washington a newly qualified commercial property solicitor, Alex Francis a commercial solicitor, Natalie Fitzhugh a trainee solicitor and Cecilia Wong, corporate paralegal. #Expansion
Cue the applause…
The newly expanded team have over two years completed over 80 transactions with an impressive aggregate value just short of £100 million. Our average transaction value was an amazing £1.3 million. A large percentage of these deals were health care related, made up of nurseries, pharmacies, domiciliary care agencies, care homes and dental practices. #Teamwork
New Department…
At the end of last year, we excitedly awaited the arrival of Jennifer Brook a senior family solicitor. Jennifer joined us in October 2018, and passionately leads the development of the family law department, assisting with Separation, Divorce, and Child Arrangements. #Growth
Re-Launch
Last year, we launched our residential conveyancing department, and the phones rang, the emails flooded in, our conveyancing system exploded and by June 2018 we had opened an impressive number of files.
As the department grew, we continued to learn. It February 2019, we made the conscious and right decision to restructure the department. #Honest
Now we excitedly await the arrival of a senior residential conveyancing solicitor… arriving September she brings with her, vast experience, knowledge, business acumen and business development experience. #Expert
We also excitedly await the arrival of an experienced residential conveyancing paralegal who exceeds customers and agents’ expectations. #Customerservice
The relaunch of the department will see the business expand its private client services, by working towards developing a wills and probate department. #Ambition
We don’t do things by halves… EVER
In twelve months, we have doubled in size, having already refurbished our office to accommodate the expansion, we are now completely full. With financial investment from our shareholders, Pillbox Capital, we can move into a much bigger office. #Newhome

Investment…
Our people are our greatest asset, and we encourage a happy and healthy working environment, this includes allowing our colleagues to work from home when they need to. Leading on from this, saw the implementation of a well-being strategy, individual business plans, and a fun filled team day!
Gin….
We celebrated our first 2-year milestone, with personalised cupcakes, and Pickford inspired gin at Simpsons Gin Bar and were joined by many local businesses and customers who have worked with us over the last 12 months. We thank each and everyone one of them for their contribution to our success. No matter how big or small it may have been! #Appreciation
The Future…
We have flown into our third year, leaving nothing behind. The directors, management team and old and new staff are still as dedicated and motivated as they were in the first year and this is the main reason for our continued success.
For the corporate team to continue at full speed ahead, they continue to develop their trainee solicitors. Both Naresh and Natalie qualifying in 2020 and Cecilia will qualify in 2021.
Our search for another experienced commercial property solicitor will continue, their role will be to assist with an existing workload and help market and develop the commercial property department in its own right.
Our search will begin for an ambitious, hardworking, customer focussed wills and probate lawyer, who want the opportunity to develop their business development and managerial skills. #Watchthisspace
